Compliance Analyst is a critical member of our compliance team and is responsible for:

  • Reconciliation of premium and taxes between management system and reporting system to ensure accuracy.
  • Responsible for accurate and on time preparation of premium tax reports.
  • Review premium contracts, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Communicating with internal staff, retail agents, and state agencies to ensure compliance of contracts and reports.
  • Facilitate ongoing compliance management for any technical and operational gaps.
  • Advise on ad-hoc compliance questions from internal and external producers.
  • Processing tax payments as needed to state insurance departments and recording payments through management system.
  • Provides backup and assistance to complete other accounting and compliance tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent Accounting experience.
  • Surplus lines operations experience preferred.
  • Prior tax filing experience preferred.
